Can I try Fitness Evolution before joining?
Yes, you can. Collect your free gym pass from the Fitness Evolution reception desk. This pass will allow you to try the gym and a class of your choice free of charge.
What is the minimum age to join the gym?
If you are aged 16 – 18 we will need parental consent in the form of a signature before we can allow you to join the gym. We do offer junior gym memberships for children ages 13-15 years but you must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times whilst using the facilities.
Can I cancel my membership?
At Fitness Evolution we have no tie-in contracts and you may cancel your membership at any point. We do require 30 days notice in order to process your cancellation and this must be provided in writing. If you have purchased one of our yearly memberships you may not cancel this contract early and we will be unable to provide a refund.
Do you offer an NUS discount?
We offer a discounted rate for students, please ask at reception for details.
Do you have a corporate scheme?
For companies who have 5 or more employees sign up for a membership we offer a corporate discount – please ask at reception for details. If you work for a public/emergency service such as the NHS, police or fire services you can claim this corporate membership.
Can I pay by cash or card?
You may pay for any of our services using cash or card.
How do direct debit payments work?
When you first sign up for a membership at Fitness Evolution you will complete a direct debit mandate. The monthly membership fee will be taken from your bank on the 1st day of every month.
Do I have to be a member to do the classes?
You don’t have to be a member of Fitness Evolution gym in Burnley to do a class. You can purchase a single class pass for £5.00, or a weekly pass for £10.00 from reception.
Are there different levels for classes?
All our classes can be adapted to different levels of ability. Our trainers will demonstrate alternative exercises so that you can fully partake in classes at your own fitness level.
What technology is available on the gym floor?
TV screens with over 20 channels and Bluetooth connection are available on the cardio equipment. The strength training equipment links to the app allowing you to track your workout.
Can my guest attend classes?
You may bring along a guest to attend classes with you, if they’re not a member they can purchase a single class pass from reception.
What type of Personal Training is on offer and how can I organise a trainer?
We have a number of personal trainers here at Fitness Evolution who can offer you a tailored workout package to suit your health and fitness needs. To organise a session please speak to the team at reception or email [email protected].
Do I pay extra for classes?
Our gym membership includes fitness classes. (Excludes bootcamp, climbing and dance)
Can I do PT at Fitness Evolution as a non-member?
You may access personal training at Fitness Evolution without a gym membership. You can find out personal training prices and how our personal trainers will help you achieve your fitness goal by visiting our personal training page.
What are the times that the gym gets busy?
Peak times in the gym are usually mornings, before 9am and evenings, after 5pm. But don’t worry our Burnley gym has ample space for you to carry out your workout.
Are there any additional fees or hidden costs after signing up for my gym membership?
No, there are no hidden fees. You only pay what you signed up for. Our prices are clearly displayed on the gym memberships prices page.

From time to time we run referral and loyalty programmes for our existing members. Keep an eye on our social media pages for any upcoming schemes.
Can I bring a guest or friend with me to the gym?
Yes, of course. We would love to have your guest/friend visit us before signing up. Speak to the receptionist who can organise a free day pass for your guest/friend.
Can I change my membership plans?
Yes, if you qualify for another gym membership at Fitness Evolution, Burnley, you can change your membership plan at any time.
Can I put my membership on hold if am ill?
Yes, you can put your gym membership on hold at Fitness Evolution. Speak to the receptionist who will let you know the process of freezing your gym membership.
Can I use my membership at multiple locations?
Fitness Evolution only has one gym which is located at the back of Burnley College’s main building opposite Asda Burnley.
Do you offer a trial or guest pass?
Yes, we do offer a free trial and guest pass for our gym in Burnley. Speak to the receptionist who can organise a free day pass for you.
